Burnisher

Once you’ve cleaned hard floors with an auto scrubber, using a burnisher can really make them shine. If you have floors that are well-trafficked in an office, retail center, hotel, or other commercial building, you not only want them to be clean – you want them to look good, too! A floor burnisher is a high-speed machine that polishes the floor and restores it to its original glossy finish.

Burnisher versus Buffer

Burnishers and buffers are often confused, but they are not the same thing. A floor buffer moves side-to-side to strip wax from a floor. Because of this movement, they are often called swingers or side-to-side machines. The scrubbing pad is in complete contact with the floor, the buffer moves at relatively low speeds, and the wheels are only used when the buffer is not in operation. If you’re trying to strip the floor, we recommend a buffer.

A floor burnisher is used to restore a floor’s shine. It moves at extremely fast speeds, between 1000-3000 RPM, to bring back the wet, glossy look quickly and efficiently. The burnisher moves forward and backward and rests on the wheels as it moves.
